We had an RV reservation for 7/10-7/11 at a state park near Valentine, Nebraska. But there were no hookups, and they told us we’d have to turn our generator off at 8:00 PM. As it was 100 degrees, we wimped out and spent a night indoors at the Niobrara Lodge. The manager there was super accommodating and let us park our rig out front. We spent the day enjoying wifi, cable TV, a huge shower, and lounging on a king-sized bed.
Next morning, we headed out to Fort Falls and the Niobrara Wildlife Refuge.
Then we hooked up the Jeep and headed for South Dakota and the Badlands.
